Bath Bomb FAQ

Bath Bomb FAQ

Everything you need to know about using and caring for your Becoya coloured bath bombs.

Will a coloured bath bomb leave residue in my tub?

Our coloured bath bombs are formulated to dissolve fully in water, but some vibrant shades and shimmer finishes can leave a faint colour or residue on the tub surface, especially on light-coloured or textured baths. This is normal and does not indicate a fault with the product. The intensity of any mark depends on the specific colour, your water temperature, and how long the water sits before draining.

We do not guarantee that no residue will occur, as this can vary between bath surfaces and water types.

Does Becoya use glitter in their bath bombs?

Some of our bath bombs contain biodegradable shimmer or mica-based lustre. If your bath bomb includes shimmer, you may notice a fine pearlescent film or flecks on the water surface and tub walls. This rinses away easily with warm water and a cloth.

How do I rinse my tub after use?

We recommend the following steps after every coloured bath:

  1. Drain the bath water promptly once you are finished – avoid leaving coloured water to sit for extended periods.
  2. While the tub is still wet, rinse the walls and base with warm water.
  3. Wipe around the tub with a soft damp cloth or sponge to remove any shimmer or colour deposits.
  4. For stubborn marks, a mild bathroom cleaner applied with a soft cloth is usually sufficient. Avoid abrasive scrubbers on acrylic or enamel surfaces.

Rinsing promptly makes clean-up straightforward for the majority of baths.

How should I store my bath bombs?

Bath bombs are moisture-sensitive and will begin to react – fizzing, crumbling, or losing their fragrance – if exposed to humidity or damp air. To keep them in their best condition:

  • Keep them dry. Store bath bombs away from the bath, shower, or sink where steam and splashes can reach them.
  • Use a cool, dry place. A bedroom shelf, drawer, or cupboard away from direct sunlight is ideal.
  • Keep them in their original packaging or wrap individually in cling film or an airtight bag until ready to use.
  • Do not refrigerate. Condensation from cold storage can trigger premature fizzing.

Stored correctly, bath bombs will retain their fragrance and fizz for several months.

When should I stop using a bath bomb?

Discontinue use and do not place the bath bomb in water if:

  • The bath bomb has become damp, has started to fizz on its own, or has significantly crumbled – it may have already begun to lose its effectiveness.
  • You notice any unusual smell that differs from the product's original fragrance.
  • You experience any skin irritation, redness, or discomfort during or after use – rinse the affected area with clean water and seek advice from a healthcare professional if symptoms persist.
  • The product is past its best-before or use-by date, if stated on the packaging.

If you have known sensitivities to fragrance, essential oils, colourants, or any of the listed ingredients, please review the full ingredient list on the product packaging before use.
